The Chesapeake Mill

This beautiful historic water mill...
.....was built in 1820 using timbers from US Frigate Chesapeake and operated as a working mill until the 1970s. It is now home to 40+ independent traders offering an exciting mix of treasures - two unique floors of antiques and collectibles, art, furniture, clothes & jewellery (both vintage & new) and the delicious Crumbs Tea Rooms, the perfect stop for a treat any time of the day. The staff at the Chesapeake Mill are always ready to welcome you like friends, and the whole of the Chesapeake Mill is Dog Friendly, so your four-legged family members will be welcomed just as warmly.

Our favourite place to be ...
...is always our lovely airy and bright downstairs room. Our aim is to offer you products that encapsulate a comfortable, easy lifestyle; a little bit country, perhaps a little provencal? We try to ensure we have a good selection of our own linen goods; cushions and aprons, tea towels and table runners, bread bags, pegs bags and boho style slouch bags. In addition, you will find cosy throws and log baskets, willow lanterns, planters and an ever changing collection of accessories to make your house a home.

As well as our own design Linen gifts and homewares and our carefully sourced accessories, you will also find....
...and that's just us! Don't forget at Chesapeake we also have 40+ other wonderfully unique traders and.....
Crumbs independant Tea Rooms
The perfect place to stop, recharge & relax. Over breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea and cakes, you can relax while watching the water run through the waterwheel. Assorted Vegan and gluten free options are available (subject to availability) and yes, well behaved pooches are welcomed too!

If you still need convincing....

...there's the beautiful village of Wickham
Blow away the cobwebs with a long walk along the disused Wickham railway line, part of the stunning Meon Valley Trail, pop down the steps to admire the natural water meadows, a perfect place for a picnic or a paddle, and don't forget to leave time for a wander around Wickham's medieval Market Square (the second largest in England) and to explore the diverse local architecture from 15th century cottages to impressive Georgian houses..
